We are seeking a talented Systems Administrator/IT Generalist who will provide hands-on technical support for a mission-critical DISA program supporting operations within the Pentagon. This role is highly customer-facing and requires strong technical breadth across systems administration, video teleconferencing (VTC), telecommunications, end-user computing, and peripheral device support. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who can operate effectively in a secure, high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day Tier II/III systems and end-user support for classified and unclassified environments.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer-facing IT support, including senior military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain:
    • Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Crestron, Teams Rooms, classified VTC)
    • Telecommunications equipment (VoIP phones, conference phones, headsets)
    • End-user devices and peripherals (workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, webcams, monitors)
  • Support conference rooms and briefing spaces, including pre-meeting setup, live support, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Perform Windows system administration tasks including user account management, group policies, patching, and system hardening.
  • Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VLANs, ports, basic routing/switching concepts).
  • Coordinate with DISA service providers, vendors, and internal engineering teams to resolve escalated issues.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, RMF controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, asset tracking, and configuration records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during mission-critical events as required.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT generalist roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting VTC systems and conference room technologies.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments
    • Active Directory and basic Group Policy
    • VoIP and telecom systems
    • IT peripherals and endpoint hardware
  • Experience supporting users in secure government or DoD environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-security environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting DISA or Pentagon-based programs.
  • Familiarity with classified IT systems and secure communications environments.
  • Knowledge of DoD ITIL-based service management processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification.
  • Exposure to audio/visual (A/V) integration and troubleshooting.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • On-site support at the Pentagon/satellite facilities is required. Role is hybrid, but could transition to fully onsite.
  • Ability to lift and install IT equipment (up to ~40 lbs).
  • Occasional after-hours or surge support may be required to meet mission needs.

Posted Min Pay Rate

USD $110,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $150,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
