Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PKI Project Manager to join our PKI Management team in support of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) customer. This role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Federal cybersecurity policy frameworks. The Senior PKI Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and driving a wide range of PKI initiatives, including the planning, execution, and oversight of mission-critical security programs.

 

The ideal candidate will serve as a key interface between stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership, ensuring alignment with DHS goals and Federal standards. Responsibilities include creating and leading technical working groups and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), conducting and supporting internal Non-Personal Entity (NPE) audits, and developing comprehensive project documentation to support governance, compliance, and accreditation requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support in updating and creating PKI policy and guidance.
  • Facilitate and lead Working groups and technical IPT’s.
  • Support Internal compliance audits (NPE)
  • Establishing proper Level of Assurance through active participation in cryptographic key generation ceremonies
  • Works closely with various government stakeholders, vendors, and other service providers to collaborate and develop technical solutions.
  • Analyzes user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Provides input to project and program leads to identify required tasks and resources to accomplish solution goals.
  • Works independently and as a member of different teams.
  • May represent the Government Client in internal Agency meetings/work groups and in external work groups. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • Active DoD Secret clearance – required; Top Secret clearance - preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and/or Cybersecurity

  • PKI and Policy experience (design, implementation, and lifecycle management) - required

  • DHS experience - preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal-level PKI-related policy and standards (e.g., FIPS 201, NIST SP 800-63, DoD PKI policy)

  • Demonstrated experience managing PKI and certificate services projects in large-scale, mission-critical environments

  • Hands-on experience with certificate lifecycle management and key management

  • Familiarity with DoD and Federal identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) frameworks

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with stakeholders, security professionals, and system owners

  • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes

  • Experience leading teams in PKI solution delivery, operations, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments

USD $115,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $135,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
