Summary

The Enterprise Business Architect will support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) by aligning business strategy with IT capabilities across enterprise programs. This role requires expertise in strategic planning, solution design, and cyber architecture to ensure DISA’s mission-critical systems are efficient, secure, and scalable. The Enterprise Business Architect will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing technical and business insights that drive enterprise transformation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise business and IT architectures that align organizational strategy, mission objectives, and operational requirements.
  • Translate business needs into enterprise-level solutions that optimize workflows, ensure interoperability, and enhance mission performance.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on strategic planning, segmentation, and solution architecture for enterprise IT initiatives.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure solutions align with industry best practices, cybersecurity standards, and DISA’s enterprise objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaboration sessions with stakeholders to capture business requirements and define future-state architectures.
  • Serve as a governance lead for business architecture practices, ensuring compliance with ITIL standards and DoD frameworks.
  • Contribute to Agile planning and execution, applying Scrum principles to architecture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, system engineers, and program managers to ensure architectural integrity throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Produce technical deliverables including roadmaps, strategy papers, architecture views, and compliance documentation.
  • Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations on adoption strategies to support enterprise modernization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • Axelos ITIL v3 Certification (minimum).
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge in planning, directing, and managing IT projects or operations in a large-scale, complex organization.
  • Expertise in industry-accepted standards and best practices related to strategic planning, segmentation, solution design, and cyber architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Five years of IT Architecture experience.
  • Five years of IT experience in a Federal Government environment.
  • CISCO Certified DevNet Associate.
  • Axelos ITIL v4 certification.
  • Experience supporting DISA or other Department of Defense enterprise-level IT programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

 

Posted Min Pay Rate

USD $125,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $160,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
