Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a detailed oriented Equipment Specialist who will be responsible for supporting C4IT system sustainment and logistics management through the collection, analysis, and preparation of critical technical data and documentation. This includes developing desk guides, standardized configuration drawings, and technical documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality support across field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and develop technical data, including desk guides and configuration drawings.

  • Independently review engineering data, job aids, technical manuals, illustrated parts breakdowns (IPBs), and other documentation prior to field release to ensure quality and consistency.

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).

  • Analyze configuration and supply chain data to identify and resolve discrepancies; support inventory and stock control efforts.

  • Participate in equipment supportability assessments, including:

    • Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

    • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of maintenance and supply plans.

  • Identify and address deficiencies in logistics support elements required to sustain system operations.

  • Utilize a variety of logistics management systems to document system configurations, manage inventory, and track logistics support. Systems include:

    • U.S. Coast Guard: ACMS, AMMIS, NESSS, FLS, CMPlus

    • U.S. Navy: CDMD-OA, SPIDER, NITRA

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or Information Technology and at least 4 years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management
    OR
    Completion of a U.S. Coast Guard or DoD Technical “A” School and at least 6 years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management.
  • Active Secret clearance - required
  • Experience supporting logistics and sustainment for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (C4I) systems in a military or DHS environment

  • Familiarity with DoD or USCG configuration management processes and policies

  • Experience preparing and reviewing engineering technical documentation such as TCTOs, ECPs, and technical manuals

  • Hands-on experience with provisioning, obsolescence tracking, or reliability-centered maintenance

  • Direct involvement with lifecycle sustainment planning, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a technical environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing for SOPs, guides, and briefings

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Posted Min Pay Rate

USD $50,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
