Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Configuration/Knowledge Manager to oversee configuration management and knowledge sharing processes for the Cybersecurity Systems Support (CSS) contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of system configurations and organizational knowledge, supporting effective cybersecurity operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and collaboration across teams. This is a 100% on-site position in Pensacola, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and documentation aligned with DoD and DISA standards. 
  • Manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure all IT assets, systems, and components are accurately recorded and tracked. 
  • Coordinate configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audits to maintain system integrity. 
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, system engineering, and operations teams to capture, validate, and control system baselines and changes. 
  • Establish and maintain knowledge management frameworks to capture, organize, and disseminate critical operational information and best practices. 
  • Support continuous improvement of knowledge sharing through the development of documentation, knowledge articles, FAQs, and training materials. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for configuration and knowledge management activities and inquiries. 
  • Ensure configuration and knowledge management activities support Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and audit readiness. 
  • Facilitate regular reviews, updates, and communication of configuration and knowledge artifacts across teams. 
  • Coordinate with DISA stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure alignment and compliance with contract requirements. 
  • Generate and deliver status reports, metrics, and performance indicators related to configuration and knowledge management. 

 

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in configuration management, knowledge management, or related IT governance roles. 
  • Familiarity with DoD configuration management policies, RMF processes, and cybersecurity frameworks. 
  • Experience with configuration management tools, CMDBs, and knowledge management platforms. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting DISA, DoD, or federal cybersecurity programs. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes related to configuration and knowledge management. 
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Configuration Management Professional (CMP), or Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM). 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity documentation, artifact management, and system lifecycle support. 

Posted Min Pay Rate

USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $85,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
