Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Core Infrastructure Service Owner to lead and manage the lifecycle of core IT infrastructure services supporting the Cybersecurity Systems Support (CSS) contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of essential infrastructure components that underpin DISA’s cybersecurity operations. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a 100% on-site role based in Pensacola, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary authority and subject matter expert for core infrastructure services, including servers, storage, virtualization, directory services, backup/recovery, and enterprise databases. 
  • Lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services to meet mission requirements. 
  • Ensure core infrastructure services comply with DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF accreditation requirements, and operational standards. 
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs), operational procedures, and documentation for all core infrastructure services. 
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning to optimize system performance and availability. 
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and secure operation of infrastructure services. 
  • Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and change control processes for infrastructure systems. 
  • Manage lifecycle activities including provisioning, monitoring, patching, and decommissioning of infrastructure components. 
  • Lead continuous monitoring and reporting on infrastructure health, vulnerabilities, and compliance status. 
  • Serve as the liaison with DISA stakeholders, contractors, and vendors for infrastructure-related activities. 
  • Support audits, assessments, and readiness reviews by providing necessary infrastructure documentation and evidence.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing core IT infrastructure services in a secure or government environment. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, Active Directory, and backup/recovery solutions. 
  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information assurance policies. 
  • Proven ability to lead infrastructure teams and manage complex IT service delivery. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools, configuration management, and ITIL processes. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting DISA, DoD, or federal government IT infrastructure. 
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP. 
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services and hybrid cloud deployments. 
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools for infrastructure management.

USD $100,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $135,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
