Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee all financial operations and reporting for the Cybersecurity Systems Support (CSS) contract supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This role will ensure compliance with government regulations, efficient budget management, and accurate financial forecasting to support mission success. This is a 100% on-site position located in Pensacola, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for the CSS contract. 
  • Develop and maintain contract budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring alignment with contract requirements. 
  • Monitor and control project costs to prevent overruns and optimize resource allocation. 
  • Prepare financial reports, cost analyses, and variance reports for internal management and government stakeholders. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, contract clauses, and DoD financial policies. 
  • Coordinate with project managers, contracting officers, and program leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making. 
  • Manage invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and ensure timely and accurate billing. 
  • Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responses. 
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and best practices to safeguard contract assets. 
  • Oversee subcontractor financial management and reporting as applicable. 
  • Lead financial risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. 

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably in government contracting or defense sector. 
  • Strong knowledge of federal government contracting regulations, including FAR and DFARS. 
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting for complex contracts. 
  • Proficiency in financial software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Deltek Costpoint, or similar ERP systems. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting DoD or DISA contracts. 
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFCM. 
  • Familiarity with government audit processes (e.g., DCAA). 
  • Understanding of contract financial compliance and billing requirements. 

Posted Min Pay Rate

USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
