Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a talented Software/QA Tester to join our software development team in support of one of our Defense Customers. The ideal candidate will have technical experience testing software capability. The Software/QA Tester will analyze and study complex system requirements. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analysis, and manages their implementation. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Estimate software development costs and schedule. Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques. Supervise software configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality
  • Writes test scripts and utilizes automation technologies ie: Selenium
  • Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed
  • Participates in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Writes technical specifications based on design and business requirements

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Must be able to work onsite 2 - 3 days per week
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
  • At least 3 years of experience testing software development in .Net Framework
  • Experience using C# in .NET Framework, and Entity Framework (EF)
  • Must have automation experience utilizing technologies such as: Selenium
  • Experience in agile processes
  • Experience in utilizing CI/CD Pipelines such as Jenkins or TFS
  • Experience implementing REST Web services
  • Experience with asynchronous programming and multi-threaded applications - preferred
  • Understanding of XML, JSON and serialization
  • Experience using automated testing tools such as MSUnit, NUnit,
  • Familiarity with container platforms such as Docker

Preferred Experience:

  • DISA - STRATUS
  • MS Azure and Cloud
  • Experience with development environments using multiple processor cores on the client and, when hosted on the Server Infrastructure, support massively parallel operations across cores, processors and servers in hardware-based and virtual/cloud-based environments
  • Experience with Public Key Encryption (PKI) authentication and username-password authentication
  • Experience with spectrum (radio frequency) management systems (commercial, government or DOD)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management systems for cost and schedule compliance and reporting
  • DOD software development experience

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $100,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
