Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drupal Developer with a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), database migration, and Git version control, especially GitLab, to support the Web Center of Excellence (WebCOE) applications. The role involves collaborating within a cross-functional organization on development, testing, and modernization of web applications, along with migrating databases from MySQL to PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have experience with GitLab workflows to manage code changes efficiently and ensure consistent development and deployment practices.

Responsibilities

  • Drupal Development: Expertise in Drupal theme development with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Twig templating. Familiarity with popular themes (e.g., Zen, Omega).
  • Migration: Experience in migrating sites from earlier versions of Drupal or other CMS platforms from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10/11.
  • Git and GitLab: Proficiency with Git version control, particularly using GitLab for managing branches, code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and ensuring a streamlined development pipeline.
  • Site Building and User Management: Experience in creating content types, fields, taxonomies, views, and configuring user roles and permissions.
  • Database Management: Proficient with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including complex query handling, backup management, and database integrity.
  • Performance Optimization: Knowledge of caching, database optimization, and application performance enhancement.
  • Security: Understanding of secure coding practices, user access control, and compliance with DoD and DISA cybersecurity requirements.
  • Configuration Management: Familiarity with Drupal 10 configuration management workflows using YAML files.
  • Accessibility Standards: Knowledge of WCAG standards for web accessibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience, experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Security + (8570 compliance)
  • Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is required. Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Access, HTML, DBMS’s (ex.-Oracle, Sybase, etc.) and knowledge of SQL in SQL Server.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development.
  • Experience with CMMI and ITIL processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in RHEL 8, Drupal, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and GitLab workflows.
  • Understanding of DoD environments and cybersecurity standards.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance - preferred
  • Microsoft Certification desirable

USD $110,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $120,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
