Summary

ValidaTek is seeking an After Action Report Systems Administrator who will manage a video surveillance system containing 1000 cameras for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Perform general Windows server administration, including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS. Other duties include PKI management, firmware and software maintenance and installations while adhering get to government security principals. PowerShell scripting of audits, queries and day to day administration in the domain. Use of VMware for installation and monitoring of Windows servers.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring complex XProtect VMS installations, multiple Management Servers, multiple Mobile Servers, edge storage, multicast, clustering, and other advanced configuration options
  • Configuring and maintaining Windows physical and virtual servers
  • Overall system functionality, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Analyzing systems operations and the results of systems tests, to ensure proper systems operation and determine the need for maintenance
  • Ensuring that system malfunctions are identified and, where possible, corrected, and advise the Project Manager of all malfunctions and the actions taken for correction
  • Initiating authorized tests of the operation of the security system and designated components and subsystems to ensure proper operation or to identify the need for maintenance
  • Advising the Project Manager of abnormalities and shortcomings of the existing system that may significantly affect the design of next generation systems or result in the identification of better methodology or operational techniques
  • Development and implementation of a robust preventative maintenance program
  • Reporting any problems noted with the systems to the Project Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience managing video surveillance systems.
  • Must be familiar with VMware products as well such as vCenter and vCenter Appliance
  • Within 90 days of hire, the employee must complete the following company paid-for training:
    • Milestone Xprotect Integration Professional certification
    • Quatum/Pivot Administrative Training
    • Axis Encoders Training
    • BriefCam Administrative Training
    • Agent VI Administrative Training
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to work on site in customer facilities in Brunswick, GA
  • Must be able to pass the DHS law enforcement background check.

USD $66,191.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $113,458.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
