Responsible for the design, installation, analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer networks. Develops and maintains a network that provides maximum and efficient performance and reliability for users. Performs tasks such as installation and configuration, testing and maintenance on new server hardware and software infrastructures; identification, diagnosis and resolution of network problems; and maintenance of required certification from key vendors. Responsible for keeping the network secure from a variety of threats and the recommendation and scheduling of network repairs.
Assists with charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers and others in proper use. Assists with preparing checklists and processes for help desk. May assist with installation and minor equipment repairs. Supports training programs. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities.
