ValidaTek is seeking an Application Management SME who will advise and direct the contractor team managing enterprise and mission applications to ensure the availability, performance, and security of all applications within the JSP portfolio.  The Application Management SME must possess proven technical ability in the management, deployment, and sustainment of COTS, GOTS, and custom-built applications.

• Demonstrated ability to manage small to large applications in a complex environment.
• Experience in managing mission critical applications configured to support resource relocations when needed.
• Experience in event management of applications experiencing service impact.
• Knowledge of application management on Windows Server 2012 and higher and Redhat Linux 7.0 and higher.
• Knowledge of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, server virtualization, unified communications, collaboration tools, and enterprise services.

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems, or 5 recent years of documented experience relevant to this key position.

• Minimum three years of work related experience in the following areas: networks, physical and virtual servers, systems management, public key Infrastructure, IT customer support, VMWare technologies, database administration (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle), web server and application administration (IIS and Apache), application security, and project management.
• VMWare and RedHat certification - preferred.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
