We are seeking a talented and experienced Platform Engineer SME - Site Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's platform services. The Platform Engineer SME - Site Lead will also be responsible for ensuring that the platform services are aligned with the program's strategic goals and objectives, while also meeting the needs of our clients and end-users.

Senior Platform Services SME shall serve as the knowledge expert for the design, development, and deployment of the JPH’s Platform Services overall systems. This SME should have proven experience defining system solutions based on client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. This SME must have knowledge of establishing, implementing, and documenting the technology integration or migration strategies.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's platform services
• Ensure that the platform services are aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that platform services are built to meet the needs of our clients and end-users
• Develop and maintain documentation related to platform services, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to platform services
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the platform services space
• Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure the smooth integration of platform services into our overall technology stack
• Mentor and provide guidance to other members of the platform services team.

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a focus on developing and managing large-scale, enterprise-level platform services. Must have at least 3 years in a role as a SME.
• Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification required.
• Experience producing network architectural drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Experience providing design and implementation support for VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies
• Expertise in design and implementation support for Storage Area Network(SAN)
• Expertise in managing all aspects of the project related to systems and technology.
• Facilitate collaboration and cooperation with the primary system vendors.
• Drive innovative technical solutions to meet the system owner’s functional requirements.
• Complete technical documentation to design, test, implement, and train transition solutions to operational support.
• Produce documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and net-work operating systems.
• Implement systems as needed based on network application requirements.
• Perform independent verification, validation, and project management for current and future projects.
• Support as needed DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
• Senior knowledge of Microsoft’s infrastructures, including, but not limited to: Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Senior knowledge of TCP/IP network design.
• Current, enterprise-class infrastructure/system engineering experience with Microsoft platforms running on Client servers utilizing direct-attached and network-attached storage.
• Advanced experience designing, implementing, and managing high availability systems.

• Experience with DR solutions and technologies for complex systems.

  VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies (ESXi 6.0 or greater, Virtual Center, P2V Tools) design/management/implementation.

USD $114,693.12/Yr.

USD $191,155.20/Yr.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
