We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer SME to join our team. The Infrastructure Engineer SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DISA JSP's IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a technical expert in infrastructure and possess a deep understanding of network, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

• Design, implement, and maintain DISA JSP's IT infrastructure
• Develop and implement procedures for efficient use of infrastructure resources
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and security patches
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other members of the Infrastructure team
• Collaborate with software engineers, database administrators, and other IT staff to ensure system compatibility and stability
• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning strategies
• Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure design and implementation
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of hardware, software, and cloud service providers
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure systems

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems, or 5 recent years of documented experience relevant to this key position
• Experience in managing VMWare technologies.
• Possess proven technical ability in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of EMC VMware ESX virtual hosts, Virtual Machines, and Storage Area Network volume management.
• Experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise server hardware visualization.
• Knowledge of managing Nutanix AOS.
• Experience in maintaining applications/systems in clustered environments.
• Knowledge of MS AppV, ThinApp, Citrix, and other application virtualization technologies.
• Obtain/possess the VMWare Certified Professional certification.
• Active Security+ certification.

USD $159,296.00/Yr.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
