Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domain Services/Server Management SME to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Windows Server operating systems and domain services, as well as a strong grasp of IT infrastructure and network technologies. As a Domain Services/Server Management SME, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of our server infrastructure, as well as providing technical guidance to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and manage Windows Server operating systems and domain services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the IT team on domain services and server management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server issues, including performance, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Manage and maintain server hardware and software, including updates, patches, and backups.
  • Develop and implement server management policies and procedures to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
  • Monitor server performance and capacity, and implement changes as necessary to ensure optimal performance and scalability. 
  • Participate in planning and implementing new server infrastructure projects, including migrations and upgrades.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in domain services and server management, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in domain services and server management.
  • Active Security+ certification.
  • In-depth understanding of Windows Server operating systems and domain services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Technical capabilities should include at least 5 years’ experience and knowledge of Active Directory (group policies, group permissions, deployment of and troubleshooting) and a thorough knowledge of CAC/PKI and DNS/DHCP/WINS and how they integrate in the AD infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of complex IT architectures, deployment, and sustainment of geographically dispersed, load-balanced, clustered physical and virtual server architecture.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and network technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMWare.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

USD $79,648.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $132,746.67/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
