Summary

Shift Time: Friday 6 PM - 7:30 AM, Saturday: 6 PM - 7:30 AM, Sunday: 6 PM - 8:30 AM

Responsible for the design, installation, analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer networks. Develops and maintains a network that provides maximum and efficient performance and reliability for users. Performs tasks such as installation and configuration, testing and maintenance on new server hardware and software infrastructures; identification, diagnosis and resolution of network problems; and maintenance of required certification from key vendors. Responsible for keeping the network secure from a variety of threats and the recommendation and scheduling of network repairs.  

Responsibilities

  • Assists with charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers and others in proper use.
  • Assists with preparing checklists and processes for help desk.
  • May assist with installation and minor equipment repairs.
  • Supports training programs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge - Assignments are received in task oriented terms and are routine in nature. Follows established policies and precedents. 
  • Impact - Errors can be detected easily and quickly within immediate work unit and would result in only minor disruption or expense to correct. 
  • Supervision Received - Close supervision involving detailed instructions and constraint checking on work performance. Little or no role in decision-making. 
  • Contacts - Contacts are primarily within the immediate work unit. Contact involves obtaining or providing information requiring little experience or interpretation. 
  • Minimum high school degree or equivalent training and experience. 
  • ITIL v3 certification preferred.
