Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Senior Solutions Architect to support development of technical solutions and work as part of our Business Development and Capture Management Team.
The ideal candidate will work with a team that architects, designs, and develops the technical responses for proposals in compliance with requests for proposal (RFPs) requirements; analyzes RFPs’ requirements; responsible for full life-cycle development of technical solutions; partner with the proposal manager to oversee, develop, produce, and deliver high-quality technical approaches, including both written responses and oral presentations, while ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements.

 

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for development and documentation of the technical approach in response to RFI’s/RFP’s/RFQ’s, sources sought notices, and marketing calls.
• Define the overall solution to include What are we going to do?; How are we going to do it?; Who is going to do it?; When is it going to be done?; How much will it cost?; and Why are we going to do it?
• Leads decomposition of technical requirements, story-boarding the technical response, and develop specific technical solutions in accordance with the overall proposal approach and timeline.
• Leads proposal technical approach development by designing and developing win themes, key differentiating attributes, proposal outline and sections, standards of performance, and evaluation.
• Crafts technical processes to address specific requirements, identifying assumptions, benefits, and risks
• Serves as Book-Boss to the technical approach section of the proposal and oversees the writing of the various contributors including revisions/reviews in support of the color team reviews.
• Serves as the technical volume lead through the proposal lifecycle.
• Participate in the entire business development lifecycle including technical input to capture plans, opportunity analysis, and capture briefing.
• Interviews technical resources and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the processes, technologies, business needs, and other contextual details of a particulate IT area and to elicit the appropriate technical and scientific information needed to compose high-quality technical write-ups.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of solutions architecture experience within various disciplines, with at least 5 years' experience within the DoD market.
• Demonstrated current information technology skills, knowledge, and abilities in the Federal Consulting market.
• Demonstrated experience leading development of technical approaches in response to DoD and FedCiv requirements.
• Demonstrated experience developing and defending BoEs.
• Possess a broad knowledge of processes and approaches to address the full range of IT challenges, including Application Development, Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Cloud, Policy, and Training to name a few disciplines.
• Knowledge of DoD/FedCiv procurement processes, contracts and RFPs
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in preparing proposals that led to contract WINS
• Ability to meet tight deadlines ranging from two weeks to 60 days or more
• Demonstrated organizational and pro-activity skills
• Demonstrated flexibility with regards to work schedule
• Self-starter who can work independently or with a team with the ability to manage projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Ability to understand complex technical solutions and assist in writing technical responses
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong technical writing skills and a proven track record of creating effective, clear, and concise documentation.
• Experience managing complex IT-based proposals over $10M
• Ability to analyze, categorize, and logically group data in written and graphical reports.
• Ability to plan and prioritize strategically
• Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personnel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated ability to multitask with multiple high-priority demands in an intense, deadline-driven environment
• Very strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
