Summary

ValidaTek is looking for a Senior Program Manager for a large, complex IT platform service with multiple task ordersAs the main liaison with customer leadership, the Senior Program Manager will have responsibility for the overall management of task orders, ensuring that technical solutions are maintained to expected customer operational levels and product schedules are delivered on time and meeting customer expectationsThis will include product integration planning, maintaining interfaces with other functional systems, and providing regular status reports to customers. The Senior Program Manager will provide leadership to the contract staff, oversee the effectiveness of any subcontractors, and ensure all personnel are providing services that meet and exceed customer expectations.   

Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the DISA program, including planning, execution, and delivery of project milestones. Ensure compliance with program objectives, budgets, and schedules.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with DISA representatives, government officials, contractors, and other key stakeholders to define program requirements, align expectations, and address issues or concerns. Maintain effective communication channels throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive program strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with DISA's mission and vision. Identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans to ensure program success.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor and control program budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet program goals. Provide oversight and guidance for resource planning, procurement, and contract management.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, applying best practices and utilizing appropriate risk management techniques. Regularly report risk status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and maintain performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track program progress, evaluate outcomes, and ensure compliance with established standards and requirements. Prepare regular program status reports for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of program managers and other staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members' professional growth and development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance program efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. Implement best practices, lessons learned, and industry standards to optimize program performance.

Qualifications

  • Must have 8+ years of project management experience with at least 5 of those years supporting federal government programs. In combination with a Bachelor's degree. In lieu of Bachelor's degree candidates must have at least 15 years of federal IT enterprise Experience.  
  • Must have experience leading Platform/Agile/DevSecOps Teams.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Demonstrated success managing large technical programs ($40 million +) for the federal government. 
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to explain complicated technical issues to non-technical customers. 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and track program progressThe best candidates will have their PMP certification. 
  • Must be well versed in agile project management. 
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite.
