Summary

ValidaTek is seeking an IT Training Manager to support an exciting new program for Soft Switch Backbone (SSBB) Modernization (SSBM) for DISA. This is a brand new program to design, engineer, and deliver a modernized SSBB to replace the current operational SSBB that has reached end-of-life.  This program will provide all engineering and related support necessary to develop an SIP (Session Initiated Protocol)-based policy engine routing solution that can ensure continuity of operations in the event of a single policy engine and/or SBC failure. Support for this effort is largely remote with occasional on-site support at DISA HQ, Ft. Meade, MD. 

 

Plans, develops, evaluates, and updates training programs, course content and materials. Implements methodologies to improve the instructional design process. Develops training objectives and implements methodologies to assess student progress towards meeting the training objectives. Integrates course curriculums. Assists in preparing instructors and ensuring instructor familiarity with the course content and objectives for delivery in classroom settings; maintains same familiarity and assists in delivery of course content.

Responsibilities

With minimal guidance, designs, develops and implements training programs: 

  • Provides input to training strategies, methodologies, and tools  
  • Maintains SA of technology evolution, analyzes technology evolutions, and develops associated training requirements and curriculum  
  • Assesses training effectiveness  
  • Possesses an understanding of Unified Communications and concepts  
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Instructional System Development Methodology  
  • Possesses the ability to work efficiently in a military staff environment requiring coordination across US Army, subordinate headquarters, Major Commands, and Units 
  • With no guidance, designs, develops, and implements training programs 
  • Develops, prepares, explains, briefs, and coordinates plans, schedules, and reports 
  • Possesses strong writing, briefing, coaching, and leading skills  
  • Customizes course content for appropriate audiences e.g. senior military/civilian leaders, mid-level officers/Government Civilians/Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and Soldiers 
  • Possesses strong writing, briefing, and teaching skills  
  • Possess the ability and experience to develop distance based learning content e.g. web, video, and other on-line training 

Qualifications

  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Minimum of eight years of training experience in government IT enterprise environments
  • Minimum of four years in a Unified Communications environment with an emphasis on Microsoft, e.g. Teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
