ValidaTek is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a large, complex IT platform service with multiple task orders. This position will serve as the operational lead for platform and software products. Duties will include:

• Maintaining offerings to include the routine patching of the open source, GOTS, and COTS Platform Toolchain software,
• Emergency diagnosis and fix of customer facing services,
• Ensuring the operational services uptime and latency meet agreed upon SLA’s,
• Holding technical exchanges and subsequent onboarding of new customers to the operational services,
• Prioritizing and incorporating customer requirements,
• Maintaining customer “base images” on tenant spaces within the platform,
• Researching new DevSecOps tools and technologies,
• Managing customer help desk and ticketing systems,
• Prioritizing tasks and task management for team supporting operations,
• Maintaining customer onboarding documentation and relevant program documentation to operations.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

 

• DoD Secret clearance - required.
• At least 8 years of experience with large scale, complex enterprise platform and software services. Must also have experience maintaining these services in a federal government environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related IT or engineering field.
• Experience operationalizing DevSecOps and commercial cloud tech services in complex organizations.
• Subject matter expertise pertaining to DevSecOps software and the commercial and open source products utilized for software automation in large enterprise government settings.
• The ability to explain complex, technical tasks in easily understood language to non-technical users.
• The demonstrated ability to influence decision making with a diverse set of customers and leaders.
