Summary

ValidaTek is seeking a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a large, complex IT platform service with multiple task orders. As the official ISSO for this program, this role will oversee and manager the overall cyber posture of the IT products as well as the agency accreditations maintained by the program office for all products. TheISSO will serve as the principal advisor, facilitator, and coordinator to all program key personnel (both government and contractor) regarding all cyber security related topics across all areas of the IT products.  This role will ensure that operational systems maintain and update all necessary accreditations as new requirements are identified for the program, new services are operationalized, and new vulnerabilities are observed.  This individual will be considered the subject matter expert on the agency risk management framework and how it applies to commercial cloud platforms used by the agency as well as how it applies to software modernization through DevSecOps automation. 

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

 

  • DoD Secret clearance - required.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing the cyber risk for large scale, complex enterprise IT programs. Must also have experience maintaining these services in a federal government environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related IT or engineering field. If the candidate has 20+ years of experience, no degree is necessary as long as 5 of those years are in a government IT portfolio setting.
  • Must have expertise in running cyber IT functions in both classified and unclassified systems.
  • The ability to explain complex, technical tasks in easily understood language to non-technical users.
  • The demonstrated ability to influence decision making with a diverse set of customers and leaders.
