Summary

As a Mid Business Analyst supporting the DISA program, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and assisting in the implementation of solutions. You will work closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and develop comprehensive business cases and reports. Your insights and recommendations will help drive informed decision-making and ensure the program's objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of DISA program requirements, objectives, and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including end-users, managers, and technical teams, to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve productivity within the program. Propose and implement appropriate solutions to address identified issues.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets and provide insights to support decision-making processes. Develop and maintain data models, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business process models, system specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish strong relationships with program stakeholders, including government clients, contractors, and internal teams. Collaborate effectively to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Testing and Validation: Support the testing and validation of new system functionalities and enhancements, ensuring they meet business requirements and are user-friendly.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users during system implementations and upgrades. Address user queries and troubleshoot issues promptly and effectively.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks associated with system implementations, changes, and enhancements. Develop mitigation strategies and recommend contingency plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis. Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are a plus.
  • Proven experience (3-7 years) as a Business Analyst, preferably in a government or defense-related setting.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance - required.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including data modeling, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation, including use cases, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with DISA programs, policies, and processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the program.
